Nails are more than just the hard things at the end of your fingers and toes-they give a window into your health and show others just how well you take care of the rest of your body. They may seem small and unimportant, but that couldn't be further from the truth.
A broken acrylic fingernail does not need to ruin your lovely nails. You can fix it without having to completely file your nail down. If your fingernails are a lovely length and you have a broken nail, have a fingernail repair at a salon.
If your nails are very fragile and you want to keep them long (or you have a splitting nail), some salons also offer nail wraps, which protect fragile nails. This method will give them extra support.
We know that prevention is always best. Doing things with the pads of your fingers, not your fingertips, will help prevent nail tearing and broken nails. Also, nails that are shorter are less prone to snagging and breaking. But, split nails, cracked nails and broken nails do happen and it is always best to treat them immediately to prevent their getting worse.
